National Girl Child Day 2017 was organised on 22nd
January 2017 at Aundipatti. Initially children involved in planning meeting for
the Facilitation of the programme. They decided as theme as a “Development of
the Girl Child”. Rally was organised from Aundipatti Busstand to Avadaiaci
Marriage hall. 135 children were participated, 80 SHG members, 25 Tribal
children were participated in the Rally. Dr. Simon- Director Arogya Agam, Mr.
TV. MUrugesan, Block Development officer – Aundipatti Block, Ms. Pandiammal –
SI police – Aundipatty Police station, MS. Rosilin- Child Protection Officer –
Theni, Ms. Karuthammal – TSPI were delivered their special Address to the
children for the promotion of girl children. Prizes were distributed for the
National level winners for tenikoit- V.Aruchan, anther 3 children. Prize were distributed for 3 children

Thanambikkai (self-confidence) Children's Federation is a federation working for the rights of children in Tamil Nadu, India. The federation is especially for marginalised children who suffer caste oppression and/or are HIV infected or affected. The federation is being supported and facilitated by the NGO Arogya Agam, which mission is to secure rights, health and development for marginalised people.

On 25th October Leadership training programme was organized by the core children. 7 children facilitated this meeting. 16 leaders were participated from village level children groups. Subba & Arun explained Mile stone of the federation, Muniyandi & team the Discussed about the Child rights, Types of abuses,Role of Leaders to prevent such abuses at village level through children clubs were discussed. Madan and team Climate change and child rights for food security were discussed. Sathiyavani and Nandhi facilitated some interesting games for the children. The meeting ends with action plan such that it was planned to grade all 23 children groups by the October month. To selection of the Leader, Secretary and Treasure for the Federation
Higher Education Motivational Programme
On 24th September Higher education Motivational programme was organized. Mr. TV.Murgesan Facilitated the session. Children discussed about their feature plan for their education. Mr. TVM discussed about the SC/ST scholarship for the post metric and collage details were also explained. MS. Saradha and Ms. Malliga discussed about the importance of the higher education, issues and challenges in child marriages.

Selection of II Line Leaders
Thanambikkai Children Federation has organised a meeting for children groups which are actively carrying out the children groups activities in a villages. 50 children from 9 children groups have participated.The meeting was faciliated by a children group leaders sathyavani and Umarani in the presence of Federation Co- ordinator Miss.Malliga.
Many child related issues were discussed and decisions were made by the children. During the meeting, the children were sensitized on the II line leaders and their roles. 17 active children were selected as II line leaders.

Evironmental Day & World Day against Child labour
All the Children groups in Thanambikkai Children's Federation Conducted a Rally in their Villages to mark the environmental day and the world day against child labour. The rally was led by the children group leaders. They carried a placards with the message of planting trees, reducing the usage of plastics, practicing home gardening and to stop the child labour.

Motivational Programme for Higher Education
Motivational Programme has been jointly conducted with AGAM foundation on 25th April, at SKA Matriculation school, Aundipatty for SC/ST/ SCA students who have completed +2 grade. Nearly 130 children have participated. The meeting was facilitated by Dr. Sabu.Simon, Director of Arogya Agam. Mr. Bharadhan, State Convenor of AGAM foundation imparted the knowledge and skills which are necessary when choosing the courses by using their Post metric Scholarship. The representatives from engineering colleges who are admiting students under the "Post metric scholarship scheme" motivated the children to join engineering courses.
